Brooklyn Boulders

BKB Lincoln Park is an adaptive reuse of a former 30,000 sf Treasure Island grocery store into a bouldering, climbing and fitness center. Hirsch MPG was the architect-of-record working in a design-build relationship with Brooklyn Boulders, Arco / Murray and Stark + Co. to complete the design on time and under budget. The design features over 12,000sf of challenging climbing walls along with a state-of-the-art fitness center, locker rooms, a mezzanine café and eating area from which to observe all the climbing activity, retail store and other support spaces. Without question, the unique and colorful climbing walls are the focus of the design, taking advantage of the tall, airy space available, and creating an iconic image for the facility.
