Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, the Hotel Lincoln’s building has operated as a hotel under various names since the 1920s. The property was purchased out of foreclosure with the desire to create a modern, upscale, and family friendly hotel directly across the street from Lincoln Park and walking distance to Old Town. The lobby, including a new neighborhood focused coffee shop (Elaine’s), banquet facilities, and amenities were given new layouts, finishes and furnishings. The Rooms were updated within their original layouts. A new elevator was added within the existing structure to provide direct and accessible access to the penthouse suite and rooftop which was converted into J. Parker, a restaurant, bar, and lounge with a large roof providing spectacular city, park, and lake views. A folding “Nano Wall” separates the bar from the deck, which is opened in nice weather to provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The hotel re-opened to much fanfare in the summer of 2012. It has been featured in Hospitality Design and Chicago magazines and named 2012’s Best New Hotel by CS Interiors and one of 2013’s best by Travel and Leisure, among other honors.
