A true TOD (Transit Oriented Development), 3200 N. Clark is an eight-story mixed-use projects which provides 35,000sf of retail on floors 1-2, parking for 39 cars and 90 residential rental units on a 25,000sf site that formerly housed a Dunkin Donuts and surface parking lot at the corner of Belmont and Clark Streets in the Lakeview Neighborhood of Chicago. Working closely with the Alderman, Community Groups and the Department of Planning, the design for Lakeview 3200 underwent a yearlong transformation into the final design which all parties could agree on. Clad in pre-cast concrete panels, metal panels and glass, the mix of modern and traditional design fits in well with the context of this prime Lakeview location. Adjacent to one of the busiest “El” stations in Chicago, Lakeview 3200 caters to those who want to take advantage of public transportation. A Target with a grocery component, long needed by the neighborhood, anchors the project. Green roofs and gardens further the environmentally friendly practices of this LEED accredited building.
